A Nidhi Company is a type of mutual benefit society that deals with borrowing and lending money between its members. It is essentially a type of NBFC that facilitates savings and lending among its members.

The primary activities of a Nidhi Company include accepting deposits from and lending money to its members, with the aim of promoting savings and providing financial assistance to its members.

Any business or individual whose turnover exceeds the threshold limit (currently Rs. 40 lakhs for goods suppliers and Rs. 20 lakhs for service providers) must register for GST.

Invoices issued for sales, invoices received for purchases, and details of outward and inward supplies are generally required for GST filing.

An FPC is a hybrid between a cooperative society and a private limited company, formed by farmers to improve their income through collective efforts in production, harvesting, procurement, grading, pooling, handling, marketing, selling, and export of agricultural produce.

Ownership lies with the farmer-members, who elect a board of directors from among themselves. The board manages the affairs of the FPC, ensuring democratic control and equitable distribution of benefits among members.

The registration process involves submitting an application with the Registrar of Companies (RoC), along with required documents such as the proposed name, memorandum of association, articles of association, and details of promoters.
